Windy Day in the City
When I woke up on Saturday, I was afraid that roof would come crubling down. The wind was that relentless! But it didn't deter us from our plans of heading to the city for the afternoon. We had resverations at Sarabeth's West for a late brunch. The food was AMAZING. I really liked my vege omelette that was served with a perfect scone. But I loved the French toast that Nelson ordered. Next time I'm really going to indulge in some carb filled buttermilk goodness.
Since it wasn't a good day to be outside we took advantage of out corporate membership and spent an afternoon at the American Museum of Natural History. It was a great way to spend an afternoon and get a tour of the history of the world. I especially liked these giant stuffed animals. Though I'm not a fan of dinausars, I was still intrigued by their giant skeletons, which have been the trademarks of this museum. Asia, Africa and Southern America were well represented regions and there was great diversity in the types of exhibits as well.
For dinner, we crossed the river to New Jersey for a delicious dinner at a friend's home. It was a lovely evening of catching up and enjoying good food and even greater company.
