Off Broadway Night

On Saturday night we went to see Triangle, an off broadway production based on biggest disaster in NYC untill September 11th. I came to know of the play through the MHC network as the play was co-written by a MHC history professor. At only $20 per person, it was very affordable and an easy way to experience theater without extravagant ticket prices. The theater 59E59 hosts three plays simultaenously and has variety of new offerings throughout the year. The stage was a very small space and the audience surrounded it. We arrived too late and had to be seated in the only available seats in different sections. But the play was a fantatstic experience. I learnt a lot about the immigrant history and poltical culture of lower Manhattan in the early
1900s. With mimmal set design, the play was based on a well written script and good acting. Before the play we grabbed a quick dinner at Ginger, a Pan Asian restaurant with an extensive menu. Afterwards we headed home to prepare for the Easter brunch we were hosting the following day.
